Li-po batteries
The advantage of lithium polymer batteries is the weight, they are very light.
Indeed, these batteries do not have metallic packaging, which considerably reduces the load of batteries to nickel. They do not contain polluting materials. In addition, during the load process, higher intensity can now be reached.Indeed, it was previously recommended to use a charging current equal to its load capacity of Ni-MH batteries. Manufacturers now point out that lithium polymer batteries can be loaded up to 5 times their capacity.
The nominal voltage of each cell of the LIPO battery is 3.7V. A 100% loaded component will have a voltage of 4.20V, which should not be exceeded under penalty of damage. Each component should not be less than 2.8V-3.0V. The destruction tension is 2.5V (it is useless when this threshold is reached!). Consequently, the nominal voltage of the battery at 3 cells is 11.1 V (3x3.7), the voltage with 2 cells is 7.4 V, the voltage with 4 cells is 14.8 V, the tension at 5 cells is 18.5 V, and so on.
